It seems to be a function of humankind that once things start to go well, we become complacent and seek out pleasure, rather than remain thankful and in servitude to God. We forget the suffering from which he had delivered us when we cried out to Him. Maybe that's why he always brings us back into the fold--He knows our hearts, and how fickle they are, so He has compassion. But it would be a lot easier on ourselves if somehow we remembered the suffering. I have a problem with that myself, but one thing I can do is to pray for remembrance.

That is true, Andy, we all fall short of His Glory It seems to be a human trait to forget or maybe I should say to not learn from our past! Thanks for the input, Andy.
