JOTS FROM OLD JAKE

HIS NAME IS LORD:

Monday, May. 28, 2007 - 4:44 p.m.

(Isaiah 42:8 KJV) I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

There is only ONE GOD, He is a complex God presented to us in a simple plan. He is made up of the Trinity, that is, The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. Not forgetting the Seven Spirits of God. You may say that that is more than one God. Not so they all are together in one God Head and in total agreement in everything. His Word is creative and His breath gives our spirit life. Apparently He takes exception to having his name placed on other beings, heavenly or earthly or any other.

(Isaiah 42:9 KJV) Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

If we are having faith in Him, He will keep us aware of his plan. Note: you must communicate with Him if you expect to receive any of this knowledge! This means getting into His presence It only follows that if you are in his presence you will:

(Isaiah 42:10 KJV) Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

Note: the isles referred to there includes the entire world outside of the main land of Israel. In the days of Isaiah the land given in the Abrahamic covenant was considered the main land all else was considered isles.

This brings to mind the following song

(Psalms 47) O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth. He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

Todays memory verse:

(2 Cor 1:10 KJV) Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

Ulterior thought!

If you are in a hole and you keep on digging you need to start learning a new language! Or Ya cant dig yourself out!

May You Be Blessed by the Holy Spirit to Overflowing!
