Ephesians 2:18 �For through him� (Jesus) �we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.�
Jesus paid the price for all who will place their total trust in Him, and He has given us access to the Father by the Holy Spirit through the Son, Jesus.
Now talking to believers in faith�
Ephesians 2:19-22 �Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners,� (out of place, like a extra wheel)
�but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; �built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.�
This gives the believer a true ownership of belonging to the Family of God. Which brings up a song we used to sing; �I�m so glad I belong to the Family of God; Born of the spirit, filled with His love��
I have, and I am sure you have also, hear people refer to all humans as being the children of God. It has become commonly accepted among many �religious� people. The fact is that; Only those who are born again in the spirit and have full faith and trust in Jesus and His gospel are the true Children of God. The Humans who do not accept the Son of God as their savior are sons of Adam. That is why it is necessary to be born-again in the spirit to become the Son / daughter of God. Praise the Lord Jesus for coming to make that possible. Adam was created by God and lost his heir-ship when he disobeyed the Lord in the garden. All of his descendents carry his genes with the SIN chromosome positive defect; Which can only be cleansed by the Blood of Jesus. When that cleansing is complete we are adopted into the Family of God making us His children.
