JOTS FROM OLD JAKE

PERILOUS TIMES

Monday, Nov. 12, 2007 - 3:35 p.m.

The Word of God tells us of these times and the types of personalities for us to expect to see during this time. See if any of them ring a bell in our times right now. I suggest we dont name names for each of them but just be aware of their existence and then follow the instructions of God!

2 Timothy 3:1-17 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

Now the direction of God as to our actions!

from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

We have been living in LaLa Land for a couple of centuries now and have become lax and apathetic spiritually to the things of the earth. We need to prophesy to the spiritual bones and command them to live, to rise up and put on the Whole Armour of God and do spiritual battle.

Ephesians 6:11-19 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

The whole armour:
 loins girt about with truth,
 having on the breastplate of righteousness;
 your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all,
 taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
 take the helmet of salvation,
 the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

VERSE FOR THIS ENTRY!
