Ephesians 1:6 - 7 (KJV) To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the (a)forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
(a)Forgiveness: ἄφεσις aphesis af'-es-is From G863 ἀφίημι aphiēmi af-ee'-ay-mee and ἵημι hiēmi (to send; an intensive form of εἶμι eimi (to go)); to send forth, in various applications:�cry, forgive, forsake, lay aside, leave, let (alone, be, go, have), omit, put (send) away, remit, suffer, yield up. ; freedom; (figuratively) pardon:�deliverance, forgiveness, liberty, remission.
This is a form of forgiveness that passes all human understanding. When He forgives He remembers the fault no more. It is just like it never happened in the first place. This is of course because of the Blood of Jesus that was shed on the Cross for our forgiveness. This is just a form of the gulf between heaven and hell� nothing can cross it. The devil can�t cross it and the Lord doesn�t look over it.
I have heard the expressions that when problems arise or if you are under attack by the adversary, just PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS OVER THE WHOLE THING INCLUDING YOURSELF! When you plead the Blood you have covered your self with the Blood and the devil can not penetrate that Blood. That is your authority against the enemy. Just the Name of Jesus will cause the devil to tremble.
I have heard that if you parrot the scripture at the devil he will run away. There is some truth in that but you must be careful to know that it is not the scripture that gets to the devil� if you remember, the devil quoted scripture to Jesus when he was trying to tempt Jesus. Yes it was wrongly used but never the less scripture. That is how so much false doctrine is being presented today. A lot of truth� mixed with I little error. It gives the same effect as shooting for the moon� if your calculation is just a minute amount it doesn�t seem like much� you feel you are with-in the ball park, so to speak, but you miss the moon by a great distance. Hunters deal with such calibrations when they sight in their rifles. The change of one click on the sight will make maybe two inches on a target a hundred feet away but if you move the target feet away the difference will be ten inches.
Our shot for glory is a long distance� nothing we can do can calibrate our arrival better than faith in God, His Word � Jesus; totally believing, receiving and pressing on to the mark.
