BLOOD ACTION:

The following is a list of seven actions or results of the Blood of Jesus being shed for us. I am sure that there are many more actions... these are just seven I picked.
ATONEMENT:
(Leviticus 17:11 KJV) For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
PURCHASED:
(Acts 20:28 KJV) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
PEACE (with-in as well as eternal):
(Colossians 1:20 KJV) And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
CLEANSETH:
(1 John 1:7 KJV) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from ALL sin.
REDEEMED
(Revelation 5:9 KJV) And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
JUSTIFIED
(Romans 5:9 KJV) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
SANCTIFY:
(Hebrews 13:12 KJV) Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
NOTE that purchased, redeemed, and justified are all past tense� the other four are on going. It is like buying different items� like if I buy a book I will most likely have it for life� but if I buy a subscription to a publication it is an on going thing� (I know! Bad analogy! Sorry!) it is hard to explain. The point though is that we have been bought and paid for and when we except Jesus and become intimate with Him. (Born-Again) We are saved� but the process doesn�t stop there� we keep on being saved on a moment by moment basis. The major, once in a lifetime purchase has been made, but the benefits keep on coming. Once we have been save and then we mess up royally� we don�t go back to be saved again� we just repent and ask forgiveness. There is not one person on this earth that can say that they do not sin� If they do say that they just added to the list by lying. He is faithful and just to forgive us of all sin! PTL!
(Romans 3:25 KJV) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (an atoning victim) through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
