JOTS FROM OLD JAKE

THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS:

Wednesday, Apr. 18, 2007 - 1:56 p.m.

(Lev 17:11 KJV) For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Makes ATONEMENT for our souls

(Acts 20:28 KJV) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

PURCHASED us from our sin and shame

(Eph 2:10 KJV) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

(Col 1:20 KJV) And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

PEACE is made through His Blood

Peace G1517. eirenopoieo, i-ray-nop-oy-eh'-o; from G1518; to be a peace-maker, i.e. (fig.) to harmonize:--make peace.

(1 John 1:7 KJV) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

CLEANSETH us from ALL sin and shame

(Rev 5:9 KJV) And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

We are REDEEMED by His Blood

(Rom 5:9 KJV) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

We are JUSTIFIED by His Blood

(Heb 13:12 KJV) Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

We are SANCTIFYed by His Blood

Santify G37. hagiazo, hag-ee-ad'-zo; from G40; to make holy, i.e. (cer.) purify or consecrate; (mentally) to venerate:--hallow, be holy, sanctify.

(Heb 11:4 KJV) By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

Hebrews 11:4 (Amp)
[Prompted, actuated] by faith Abel brought God a better and more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, because of which it was testified of him that he was righteous [that he was upright and in right standing with God], and God bore witness by accepting and acknowledging his gifts. And though he died, yet [through the incident] he is still speaking.

Notice that it was by FAITH that Able offered his acceptable sacrifice?

May You Be Blessed by the Holy Spirit to Overflowing!

Bye for Now!
