APATHY OR APOSTICY?
I have been doing some study on Love� For instance does to love someone mean that you will let them do what ever they want to you even if the want is an evil deed? I hardly think so! You love your child deeply, do you allow him/her have everything they want? You make allowances for the safety of the child as well as if it is affordable. Also you sometimes use what the society now calls, �Tough Love� to teach them lessons they need to learn. We as a Christian Nation should show Christian Love to other nations. Does that mean we should allow them to kill off the people they don�t politically agree with? How about showing our love for their victims? Where do we show love to them if we are not helping them out?
The persons who are displaying signs of contempt against Christians for their support of our troupes, contend that we are not showing love to the terrorists. That if we show love to them we will be able to lead them to Jesus. I believe that these people are hypocrites. They are spewing hate and venom out on our troupes and the Christians who support them. For instance they are displaying in public, before mankind, that they are more spiritual than those who support our government.
Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Not only are they not showing love to their brethren they are lying by saying that they love their enemy whom they haven�t met. The scripture says that they can�t love someone they haven�t meet if they don�t love their brethren.
1 Peter 2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well
doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. 17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king. 1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
Ok let me summarize this some.
As a Christian we are to:
Pray for our Government
Pray for our enemies
Pray in Faith that the Lord will answer
Pray for what will glorify God
Obey our leaders
Love the Lord our God
Love our mates
Love our brethren
Love our enemies
Pray for guidance in all things
The list goes on and on� but it all boils down to putting our trust and all of our faith in the True Living God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David!
And coming before throne with a contrite heart with Prayer and Thanksgiving. Always praising Him!
After all� We were created for His Pleasure. And His Pleasure is truly a pleasure to us!
