JOTS FROM OLD JAKE APATHY II? APATHY II? Peter is talking to about a hundred disciples, about the things that the Holy Spirit told to David. Acts 1:20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishopric let another take. This is the Lord talking through the Holy Spirit and recorded by David in Psalms 69 Psalms 69:21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. 22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. Those words are pretty salty to say the least. It appears that many of todays Christians believe that Jesus was a namby-pamby, touchy-feelly type of guy. Sure he had more love in his little finger than all of humanity has combined. That doesnt make him a weak being. He was in the true sense of the word a Macho Man Can you imagine the way His (half) siblings treated Him growing up? The Bible doesnt say much about His life from birth to the start of His ministry. That is about thirty years His life has little recorded. I kind of wonder thought if maybe Psalms 69 gives us some insight into this time. That passage surly covers other times as well. Bless yall!
