JOTS FROM OLD JAKE

RAP SHEET!

Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007 - 1:29 a.m.

Psalms 105:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. 4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

106:1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can show forth all his praise?

You just cant send up enough praise for the things He has done for us!

I was truly impressed when I read these two Chapters in Psalms, specifically the 105th and the 106th Psalms. It is like a RAP SHEET of the Israelites.
The fifth verse of Psalms 105 starts with Abraham and continues through a long span of time during which they were taken captive and spread all over the earth. Clear to the time when He gathers them all from around the earth and brings them back to the promised land.

I think it is important to realize that although the nation of Israel worshiped other gods from time to time God would still bring them back and give them more chances. He did not do that because they were worthy of His benefits It was because of His Promise to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David. God will never go against his Promise and his Word. That should be enough to make everyone shout, THANK YOU LORD! Because He has made it possible through the Blood that was shed by His Only Begotten Son, Jesus on that cross at Calvary.

Blessings to yall
Be ye filled with the Holy Spirit to overflowing!
