History 101

They say, History repeats itself! Ok who is They? Well THEY are the ones who were talking or writing! Anyway the THEY doesnt make a difference. There is always some THEY around saying things that are repeated.

However, if They are right, I believe I know why History repeats itself. We dont learn from History. We can look back and see the things that should make a red flag go up and to go a different direction. Alas we do it anyway. Another thing is that in the transition from Present to History people tend to forget what happened and much of it is never recorded.

One thing I have learned in my tenure on this earth is that anyone can write a book or article. They dont have to have a great deal of knowledge on the subject but they write it from their perspective, however unlearned they may be. Then later someone reads their report and considers it, usually, as an accurate account of the happening. Often the persons who were there and know the all the facts do not write them down. Thus we have our History written for our perusal.

The only History that can be considered as accurate is the Holy Bible as it was written the first time. Placing it into our language has been quite a task and not a totally accurate one at that. However, Jesus and our Heavenly Father understood and sent the Holy Spirit to guide us into His Understanding and Wisdom.

Times change, but do people? We have our conservatives who we call far right wing and then we have our Liberals who are on the opposite end of the scale. Back in the days Jesus walked as a young man on this earth they had the same thing. The Pharisees were the dogmatic, by the rule type of people, who made new rules to do everything.

When Moses came down from that mountain he brought with him ten commandments for us to follow by the time Jesus was born that ten escalated into hundreds of commandments.

The Sadducees were at the other end of the scale. They were the Liberals of that day. They didnt believe in the Virgin Birth or in the Resurrection that is why they were so sad-u-see! (I know, boo)

I have not been able to find any place in the Bible where a Sadducee became born again. Several places Pharisees were converted to body of Christ. Paul was a Pharisee as well as a Roman citizen. The same may be true today it is much easier to lead someone to the Lord if they believe that the Bible is the Written Word of God. There is more involved than just that because they must also be called of the Spirit.

Much the same as History this can go on and on and on but I will stop for now.

Blessing to Yall
Be ye filled with the Holy Spirit to overflowing!
