JOTS FROM OLD JAKE WISDOM Wisdom: (occurs 234 times in the King James Version in 222 verses.) Wisdom is the ability, developed through experience, insight, and reflection, to discern truth and exercise good judgement. It is sometimes conceptualized as an especially well developed form of common sense. Most psychologists regard wisdom as distinct from the cognitive abilities measured by standardized intelligence tests. Wisdom is often considered to be a trait that can be developed by experience, but not taught. When applied to practical matters, the term wisdom is synonymous with prudence. Some see wisdom as a quality that even a child, otherwise immature, may possess independent of experience or complete knowledge. Wisdom is often associated with old age. (An old clich: A wise old Indian told me one time) I used to use that saying a lot. Wisdom is such a complex word. Volume after volume has been written about it. The book of Proverbs is basically all about wisdom. Yet the rest of the Bible follows that same theme to some extent all the way through. James 3: 13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. All man's wisdom is nothing in the eyes of God. Yet it is what seems to rule many people on this earth. The children are sent to public schools to become educated. They are impressed to believe everything they are being told by their teachers and classroom materials. The texts are written by persons utilizing mans wisdom, the teachers were trained and taught the same way by mans wisdom. Is it any wonder that the general public is brain washed into mans wisdom? They believe that evolution is the truth and that the Holy Bible, the Word of our Creator, is myth. Daily I become more perplexed with the mans wisdom that expounds out of our so-called News Media. The task of informing the public has become a talk of propagandizing the public. The facilitators of the so called News are basing it all on mans wisdom and just giving you the so called facts twisted to fit the profile of mans wisdom. To ever have an idea of what is actually going on you need to call on the special spiritual gifts as spoken of in 1 Corinthians 2 and 12. 1 Corinthians 2: 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 12: 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; These gifts are given to minister to the body of Christ but can also come in handy it finding truth in all things. Blessings to yall
